Wrightsville Beach is one of those perfect places where fun, family, and the beach all come together in the most magical way. Whether you’re visiting for the day or planning a weekend getaway, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Here are the top 6 things to do in this beachy paradise.

1. Grab a Bite at Local Eateries!

Wrightsville Beach is home to some awesome local spots that serve up delicious food for the whole family! You can’t go wrong with Sharks Bar and Kitchen, King Neptunes, or Oceanic, where fresh seafood and yummy options for everyone await. If you’re in the mood for coffee and a little shopping, Workshop is a must-visit—great food and shark tooth jewelry to admire! For a chill vibe, head to Sunday’s to hang out, sip on a coffee or beer, and enjoy the beach views from their second story hangout. Want something health-conscious and a bit more boujee? Adapt is the spot for you with a great smoothie and juice bar!

2. Stroll Through the Farmers Market!

Local goodies, produce, and crafts are waiting for you at the Wrightsville Beach Farmers’ Market. It’s open Mondays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, starting May 5th through December 8th. You’ll find everything from art to coffee to fresh veggies—perfect for finding unique souvenirs or local gifts. The market is held in the Wrightsville Beach park where you can park your car and walk around.

3. Catch Some Waves with Surf Lessons!

Want to learn to ride the waves? NC Surf Adventures offers surf lessons for all ages! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned surfer, their expert instructors make it fun and educational. On Fridays and Saturdays, Palm Room has bands starting around 9 pm, and Jimmy’s offers tunes from 8-11 pm. For a late-night vibe, head upstairs from Jimmy’s to Red Dogs for some DJ action! Just a heads up—these spots are 21+, so plan accordingly if you’ve got little ones in tow.

5. Rent Bikes & Explore the Town!

Hop on a bike and cruise around the charming streets of Wrightsville Beach. Wrightsville SUP has rentals for the whole family, and it’s in a great spot right in the heart of the beach. Take a leisurely ride through town, enjoy the gorgeous waterfront views, check out local parks, and marvel at the beautiful homes! It’s the perfect way to see the sights while getting some fresh air.

6. Catch the Stunning Sunset Over the Sound!

The sunsets at Wrightsville Beach are nothing short of breathtaking. To catch this natural beauty, head over to Waynick Blvd, where you’ll find plenty of street parking. Locals and tourists alike gather here to watch the sky turn pink, orange, and purple. Whether you’re sitting on your car roof or setting up a picnic in the back of your truck, it’s a must-do experience.
