Looking for a fun way to keep your kids active? Our After School Surf Program in Wrightsville Beach provides the perfect blend of ocean safety, physical activity, and surf coaching. Designed for local students, this program allows kids to build confidence in the water while learning from professional instructors in a supportive environment.
Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to surf with experienced instructors in a supportive environment, furthering their surfing abilities and confidence. This program is perfect for children who want to be a part of a team atmosphere without the pressure of competition. We want to provide a fun after school activity that is fun and educational. Over seven weeks students will enhance their water-knowledge, work toward new goals and abilities and most importantly have fun! Ages 8 and Up!

Youth After School Program
The Basics
Our After School Surf Program meets every Wednesday for 7 weeks. Class focuses on catching waves without assistance, in-water etiquette and riding down the line—Max class size of 12 students. We offer two program ratios for Beginner students at a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio and an Advanced ratio of 3:1.
All After School Surf Program sessions will be from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm. The first session will be on Wednesday, September 2nd, and will continue to take place every Wednesday, with our last session taking place on October 14th. With a make up Wednesdays are also left in the month incase of a cancelation due to present conditions.
We use Access 34 in Wrightsville Beach. It’s on Taylor Street between the Carolina Yacht Club and The Trailborn Surf and Sound!

What equipment is provided?
We provide all of the necessary equipment for campers to go shred on the water and have a fun time on the beach! Soft-Top Surfboards, Leashes, Rashguards, Water and Fruit are all provided for the camp!
What is your student to teacher ratio?
Student to Instructor ratio never exceeds 3:1
What is the rain/weather contingency plan?
If it is raining we still go surfing. But if there is any thunder or lightning we wait til it passes or have to cancel. Make up days will be decided on a camp by camp basis.
What if the waves are flat?
If the waves are flat we will have an activity for the surfers to do. We have plenty of SUPs and Kayaks that we can use along with fishing rods. So regardless of waves your child will get outside!
